Putting the Market back into Leadenhall
To kick off Leadenhall’s exciting new weekend series that will be popping up over the summer, Judy’s Vintage Furniture & Flea market will be taking over the cobbles on May 26 from 12-5pm. Selling furniture from the mid-century onwards, alongside fashion from the twenties to the noughties, Judy and her team have 20 years in the business of providing beautiful one-off pieces at reasonable prices. To keep you refreshed after all that shopping, a number of Leadenhall’s cafes, bars and restaurants will also be open over the weekend!

Tango Dancing at Spitalfields
Tango Fever dance school invites you to step into summer with a series of free outdoor Tango lessons. A great way to unwind from work, head to Bishops Square at Spitalfields Market from 1pm – 5pm on Sunday May 19 to enjoy open-air tango dancing. Whether you’re experienced or you’ve never tangoed before, this class is open to all levels and ages!

Needle Felted Sheep Workshop at Spitalfields City Farm
On Sunday May 19, head to Spitalfields City Farm to take part in a wonderfully woolly workshop! After a meet and bleat with the sheep, you’ll be guided through the process of creating a 3D needle felted sheep based on the woolly model of your choice. This workshop also includes lunch at the farm café, helping to put the sheep to bed at the end of the day and plenty of information about where to buy materials and find online tutorials to keep up your new craft. This workshop is for over 18s only and must be booked in advance via the Spitalfields City Farm website.

Origin City
Origin City, the pasture to plate, nose to tail restaurant, in West Smithfield, is thrilled to announce a partnership with Never Say Die, in celebration of International Whisky Day, running from Tuesday 14th May to Saturday 18th May.
House mixologist Giacomo Falcicchio and drinks consultant Ruchira Neotia have curated a bespoke Origin City Cocktail Flight, featuring three delicious cocktails infused with Origin’s very own housemade vermouth and bitters, in collaboration with Never Say Die. One to add to your list this month.

Expressionists at Tate Modern
The Tate Modern’s latest exhibition tells the story of the friendships between the artists that formed the collective known as The Blue Rider. Through a collection of pieces that showcases various contributions from the group’s members, Expressionists highlights how these artists worked together to transform modern art by experimenting with light, colour and sound to produce bold and vibrant creations. Experience the paintings, sculptures, photography, performance and sound that shaped the 20th century modern art movement. The exhibition features over 130 works, brought together in the UK for the first time in over 60 years.

London premiere of Masterclass at the Southbank Centre
Brought to you by the internationally renowned Irish theatre company, Brokentalkers and the award-winning comedian, Adrienne Truscott, Masterclass is a critically acclaimed piece which explores the parody of the ‘great male artist’. Following its huge success at the Edinburgh Fringe, Masterclass will be debuting in London at the Southbank Centre from May 9 – May 12. Expect to see Truscott at her very best, portraying a male playwright with a big ego and an alleged inability to write complex female characters. The performance will involve an array of wigs, costumes and choreography!
