Fun Filled Summer Day out at Two Temple Place
Looking for ways to keep the little ones busy this month? Look no further than the free Family Day at Two Temple Place! Explore the magnificent neo-gothic Victorian mansion to discover the intriguing stories hidden around the building by following the Green Man and Little Red Hood on their exciting interactive family trails. Artist Cecily Jervoise will be running a creative workshop making Green Men and Gargoyles using clay between 11am – 1pm, booking for the workshop is essential and can be done via the Two Temple Place website.

Vertical Dance on Façade of St Paul’s Cathedral
Looking up at St Paul’s Cathedral is impressive enough but it’s getting taken a step further this month with the addition of vertical dancing. Performed on the side of this world renown icon, the dancers will impress us with their performance known as Resurgam. No need to book, just be sure to turn up at 6:15pm on August 31.

Red Rope at the Southbank Centre
This exhibition of light and performance is filled with art, music, dance and poetry by artists with autism, Down’s Syndrome and other learning disabilities. Developed by IMPACT Theatre, it aims at giving a way for the performers to express their emotion about looking after the modern, natural world. On from the 12-13 at noon this is one that you won’t have seen before.

Sommerset House has a real treat for you this month. Taking place from the 19-20 they will be hosting the Counterpoint dance performance inspired by their neo-classical courtyard and fountains. Accompanied by a thrilling score by Cassiel, this 22-woman strong performance is guaranteed to blow you away.

The Spitalfields City Farm is always running great workshops for young people to enjoy but, the Meet and Bleat definitely caught our attention. Try your hand at some dim sum
Taking place in the heart of Broadgate at Yauatcha City on a monthly basis this summer, the masterclass will see intimate groups of 16 guests taught the authentic cooking methods behind Yauatcha’s acclaimed dim sum. The chefs will then guide guests in an interactive class where they will share their techniques and folding methods used in the restaurant daily. Classes will be led by Andrew Yeo, Global Executive Chef of Yauatcha. Priced at £158pp, the masterclass will include six types of dim sum, the crispy duck salad, dessert and a bottle of wine, split between two, as chosen by the Yauatcha team.
Tarquin’s Cornish Gin summer pop-up
British Coastal chic comes to Searcys at the Gherkin as it unveils its summer pop-up in partnership with the award-winning Tarquin’s Cornish Gin.
For all the Gin enthusiasts this event will undoubtedly impress you with a great choice of drinks and bites. You will sip limited-edition G&T which are also available as a tasting trio and served on a bespoke surf-board platter. Tipples include Rhubarb and raspberry, Cornish sunshine blood orange and Strawberry and lime.
This event takes place on level 40 of the Gherkin.
