Pupils and staff at Redriff Primary School, in Rotherhithe, East London, are all smiles after being awarded top marks by inspectors. The school, who are part of the City of London Academies Trust, has been rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.

Redriff Primary has every reason to celebrate, as the school was given the highest mark across all five inspection areas – quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, and early years provision.

Headteacher, Joanna James said: “This is fantastic news and we are delighted to have been recognised as outstanding. We have amazing pupils and staff who work exceptionally hard, enabling the school to grow together. I would like to thank our parents too for all their support and engagement which has been central to our success.”

Chair of the City of London Academies Trust Board, Catherine McGuinness, said: “This is a great Ofsted report which acknowledges the effort and excellence of, Joanna James, her team, the governors, and our pupils and parents. The City Corporation sponsors the City of London Academies Trust so that we can give young people across the capital access to excellent education. We will continue to work closely with the school’s governors and leadership team to ensure it continues to thrive.”
