A man has been stabbed in a fight that broke out on a platform at London Bridge Underground station in front of horrified onlookers during the morning rush hour.

Police were called to the station just before 7am on Friday morning following reports of a disturbance on the southbound platform of the Northern Line.

One man has been treated for stab wounds, but British Transport Police have reported that his condition is not serious.

Three men were arrested on suspicion of affray and remain in custody, but Met Police said the incident was “not terror related”.

The incident caused delays for the morning commute, with Northern line platforms closed during the incident. All platforms have since been reopened.

British Transport Police said: “Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact BTP by calling 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016 with reference 88 of February 2.”
