You really can’t go wrong with a Sunday Roast. We’ve tried and tested some of the finest the City has to offer. Read on to find out more.
Mr Fogg’s City Tavern
Located in Broadgate Circle, Mr Fogg’s City Tavern is a lovely spot to enjoy a simple yet delicious Sunday roast. We opted for the chicken supreme roasted with lemon & thyme, served with sage & apple stuffing, roast potatoes, seasonal green vegetables, maple roasted heritage carrots & parsnips and lashings of gravy, an absolute dream. For sides, we’d highly recommend trying the pigs in blankets too. However, the sticky toffee pudding was the real star of the show for us – just the right amount of sweetness to hit the spot. We love the slick interiors at Mr Fogg’s City Tavern, it’s always a vibe at this place whether you’re there for a tasty Sunday roast or a few drinks after work. You simply can’t go wrong with deciding to dine at this place, it delivers on great food, fab vibes and exceptional cocktails.

Pre-chop bites followed by a heady mix of beef, pork and lamb skinny chops piled high on charcoal-grilled flatbreads with a choice of side each. Sounds divine we know. After having worked our way through this generous portion of food, all we can say is that Blacklock do Sunday Roasts exceedingly well. If you’re keen to try a Sunday Roast this month then without a doubt Blacklock should be added to the list. This is a top-notch dining experience that will have you coming back again.

Cubitt House
This Autumn, Cubitt House, London’s finest pubs from Chef Ben Tish, Georgie and Sam Pearman will welcome the turn of the season by celebrating the Sunday roast, and all its trimmings.
Every Sunday from The Thomas Cubitt in Belgravia to The Grazing Goat in Marylebone, will welcome their patrons in the best way they know, by throwing open the doors to their beautifully British pubs, complete with roaring fires, English ales, roast potatoes, the Sunday newspapers, Yorkshire puddings, a Bloody Mary to ward off the slightest sniff of a hangover, and a heaving wine cellar.
The star of the show every Sunday, is of course the roast; Cotswold Chicken, with bread sauce; Beef Rump with Horseradish; or Pork Belly and Apple Sauce. And then there are the accoutrements; Duck Fat Roast Potatoes; Winter Greens and Roots; not complete without Ben Tish’s gravy, perfect for pouring into Yorkshire puddings. Don’t forget to save a scrap or two for your Jack Russell or Labrador waiting patiently under the table for any leftovers. Pudding at candle strewn tables comes in the form of hearty Sticky Toffee Puddings, piping hot, bubbling fruit crumbles & custard and baked chocolate puddings to share.
