St Katharine Docks is hosting a unique on-the-water dining experience with the opening this week of Avalon by The Melusine.
Avalon by The Melusine will provide visitors with an abundance of fresh seafood through its daily changing menu, which includes oysters, langoustines, crabs, ceviche, taramosalata, scallops, octopus and salads.
There will also be an extensive drinks menu with wine and cocktails – such as their signature cocktail The Avalon – and a variety of gins.
An exclusive dining space, Avalon by The Melusine is running for just six weeks courtesy of the team behind neighbourhood seafood restaurant The Melusine, a well-rooted anchor of the St Katharine Docks community, which offers fresh and sustainably sourced seafood from across the British Isles.

Avalon by The Melusine will be inviting visitors to take a dip in the (currently) tepid depths of the well-trodden West Dock every Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 20 August and 26 September.
Avalon is the mythical island that female water spirit Melusine was taken to by her mother from the sacred river Thames, the lifeblood of London, and is symbolic of the rich history of St Katharine Docks.
The Docks was once the floating centre of luxury goods from across the world including china, hops, marble, silk, perfume, shells and spices, and has seen many transformations from medieval hospital to leading global Victorian warehouses to ruins from the Blitz to become the lively waterside community of today.
