National Burger Day (August 22) is just around the corner. Whether you’re more of a beef patty lover or a grilled chicken burger fan, we’ve picked out some wonderful joints in the City to enjoy a burger or two. You can thank us later.

Honest Burgers

If you’ve been to Honest Burgers then you’ll understand what all the hype is about. Each restaurant features a unique special dedicated to its community, alongside a nationwide monthly special, with August’s being the ‘Halloumi Your Way’ Burger. Honest serves a selection of smashed and beef burgers as well as halal chicken, vegetarian and plant-based vegan burgers all of which are accompanied by Honest’s signature, hand-cut rosemary salted chips. We are huge fans of this joint – not only is it perfect for date night but is also a lovely spot to catch up with friends over an exceedingly good burger or two.

Shake Shack

Burger-lovers rejoice! Shake Shack fans can buy any burger and get a second one for free all day on Thursday, 22nd August for National Burger Day. The one-day-only offer will be available at all Shacks across the UK.

Out Of The City

Award-winning restaurant and bar Bōkan 38 will be celebrating the occasion by offering a juicy premium beef burger dish created by Executive Chef Robert Manea. Available from 4pm in the bar area, located on the 38th floor of the Novotel Hotel in the heart of Canary Wharf, Bōkan is a premier destination for fine dining and cocktails, alongside panoramic views of the capital.

The burger, priced at £25 is filled with a wagyu beef patty, crispy bacon, cheddar, rocket, beef tomato, onion marmalade, smoked mayo, ginger glaze, pickles , homemade fries and an iron Bōkan bun stamp of approval – can get a little messy when you tuck in, but certainly worth every bite!
