The Snowman, which is topped with cream is a real winner. But if you’re looking for more of a classic cocktail then the Lychee Martini is a great shout.

Afternoon tea at a luxurious hotel? Sounds like a good idea to us. Well, The Orchid Lounge at Pan Pacific London is the perfect spot. Their new Kaleidoscope Afternoon Tea is delightful. Executive Pastry Chef Francesco has created four exquisite new patisseries, beautifully presented on mirrored plates for a mesmerising play on light and reflection.
For all those who want something a little different from their usual traditional afternoon tea then this is the afternoon tea to try. Piazza Italiana
We are huge fans of Piazza Italiana and with good reason. This month, you will be in for a treat, as this restaurant is pulling out all the stops. The new cocktail list is superb and worth trying! If whisky is your thing, opt for the Snowball Old Fashioned (£20) – with Woodford Reserve and cotton candy garnished with Maraschino cherries. For a festive twist on a Daiquiri, the Merry Berry is a must-try, with Cut Spiced Rum, strawberry syrup, cranberry juice and egg white (£16). Piazza Italiana’s brand new Christmas cocktails will be on the menu up until 22nd December.

There are a number of excellent fine dining joints in the City. However, there’s one that really stood out to us this month – CORD by Le Cordon Bleu. This restaurant, situated in a grade II listed Lutyens designed building, on Fleet Street, CORD is a perfect combination of timeless elegance, innovative menus, and superb service. Each dish is beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. This restaurant is spectacular and located in the heart of the City and it’s the perfect choice for a special occasion or a fine dining experience.

If you’re looking to impress your date with delicious food and classy vibes, then Pasta e Pizza is the place to try. The pizza is cooked extremely well and tastes fantastic, the perfect mid-week date night option. The service is also fabulous, staff are both attentive and friendly. The dessert menu is also great and worth checking out. Most certainly a restaurant to try if you’re out and about in the City this month.

Why not treat your date this month to a wonderful Afternoon Tea with stunning views of London’s skyline at Oblix at The Shard, located on the 32nd floor. The festive menu offered from 27th November 2023 until 7th January 2024, is an absolute delight and will be sure to impress your date with ease. The sandwiches are delicious – the mini prawn and lobster roll is our favourite and most certainly one to try! The presentation of the sweet offerings is simply delightful and the service is also impressive. Despite there being a number of wonderful afternoon tea spots in the City, this is certainly one that deserves to be tried. Excellent service, delicious food and stunning views – sounds like a winner to us!
